There are so many ways and opportunities to serve the Lord within NewSong LA’s Children’s Ministry. Volunteer commitments range from minimal (minimum of every other week) to high, depending on your personal availability and needs.  Below are a few descriptions of opportunities. Teacher: responsible for leading kids through a morning at Noah’s Crib. They use a fun and easy to follow curriculum and prepare for their lesson during the week. All of their supplies and teaching aids are prepared for them by our team and ready to use on Sunday. Teacher training and support is available for those who’d like it. Estimated time commitment is 2 hrs/week & 2 hrs/ Sunday.

 

Teacher Assistant: responsible to for assisting the teacher in the classroom. This includes playing with the kids and taking care of their needs, aiding in transition times within the lesson, and helping facilitate snack time and check-out. Estimated time commitment is 2 hrs/Sunday, with no lesson prep during the week.

Nursery Caregiver: responsible for loving the crawlers, walkers and toddlers of our church. A baby first learns about the love of God through the love of his or her caregivers. They also see to physical needs of the babies through snack time and diaper changing and keep a watchful eye for safety in the nursery. Estimated time commitment is 2 hrs/Sunday.

 

Operations: the backbone of Noah’s Crib and supports all that we do. The OPS team looks after the safety and well being of the children and assists the teachers with specific needs.

 

Frontline: creates the first impression of Noah’s Crib by greeting the children, welcoming new families and overseeing the check-in procedures. They also provide security for the children’s classrooms. Estimated time commitment is 2 hrs/Sunday.

 

Power Team :starts things off with a bang in the morning by unloading our trailer and setting up the classrooms with our equipment and supplies. They also assist with the breakdown and clean up after service is over. Estimated time commitment is 2 hrs/Sunday.

CAM , Jr.: our Creative Arts Ministry for the kids. It includes leading kid’s praise & worship, puppets & drama, creating classroom decorations & lesson props, photography, videography, and graphic design. Time commitment varies.

Special Events Coordinator: Noah’s Crib participates in many special events per quarter. These involve carnival activities, crafts, games and food. The coordinator works with the ministry leaders to plan and execute a successful event. Time commitment is 10-15 hours/quarter.

Substitute Subs help us out when a leader is absent from serving. Time commitment: up to 4 hrs/month.

Junior Staff : Our regular high school kids can volunteer and be trained to assist the adult staff in various roles. This provides additional help for us, but is also a good training ground for our kids. Time commitment varies.
